X2 SE Advanced WaveBlaster + USB Synth, is the successor to the DreamBlaster X2 waveblaster board.
It is suitable for DOS gaming, als wel as integration in music products. It is 100% compatible with DreamBlaster X2.
If you want to use X2 SE for gaming only, please have a look at the new
X2GS SE you might want to consider
this one instead as it has a special licensed soundbank.

Please note: There are some older soundcards with a Waveblaster compatible header but don‘t have an MPU401 interface. Instead there is only the SoundBlaster MIDI standard supported so the games that run with the X2 SE module are limited. Also you need SoftMPU to emulate the MPU401 interface in this case.
